Digua Reservoir

Digua Reservoir, in the foothills of Maule, is a calm body of water surrounded by hills and forest, perfect for an unhurried outing: a picnic in the shade, photographs from the dam wall and, when water levels allow, kayaking or fishing under current regulations.

It is reached by rural interior roads, so it is best to travel with time and check road conditions in advance; the final section is often gravel. Bring warm clothing even in summer and care for the surroundings by taking all waste away, avoiding fire and staying clear of the spillway and operational areas of the reservoir.
